The company "Gazprom transgaz Ekaterinburg" (CTU, 100-percent subsidiary of Gazprom) is planning by 2020 to build a plant for production of LNG, said at a press conference in Ekaterinburg the General Director of CTU Alexey Kryukov. "Design is likely to begin in late 2018 – early 2019. The construction of the plant scheduled for 2020," said hooks. The volume of investments he did not elaborate, explaining that it amounts to 2 billion rubles. The size of the attachments depends on the capacity of the new plant, which will be determined by the demand for LNG.
The company "Gazprom transgaz Ekaterinburg" the first in the world have developed and implemented a technology for the production of liquefied natural gas using the cooling of the methane during its expansion. The first commercial installation of the new technology started in 2013 in Yekaterinburg. It is able to produce up to 3 tons of liquefied gas per hour. In January 2017 the company started the supply of liquefied methane in Kazakhstan. According to Kryukov, already shipped about 18 tons.
